Flight academy of new orleans
I currently attend flight school at gulf coast aviation, which is located at the lakefront airport with FANO. I would highly recommend Gulf coast over FANO, they have better planes, more qualified instructors, and are available to fly on your own schedule.

Check them out at http://www.neworleansairplanes.com/index.asp

Also for those looking for a great program check out ATP flight school, I'll be attending this summer and can tell you more after I'm done, but from what I know already they are the best you can find if you have the resources to pay for it.

If you are a part of cadet programs which sponser by airliners, Flight Training Adelaide might suit you. In contrast, if you are a cadet, I would recommend to train with Adelaide Flight Training Centre which is the pivate training provided by FTA. It one of the worst flight training school ever, it would take you about 2 years or more to complete CPL without IR and ME. Nowadays AFTC employs young instructors entirely grade three which are a part of CX instructor program who have very a little of flying experiences. Those instructor take their hours by a lot of non essential remedial flights from pilot student of AFTC. What the ashame !!!

Airline acadamy of Australia
Hi Captain Lim,
I'm considering on taking a Certificate IV in Aviation (Commercial Pilot Aeroplane Licence)
in the Airline acadamy of Australia, Queesland Brisbane. Will it be a plus point if I have have this licence when I apply for SIA? And would it be recognised by SIA? This is the website of the aviation school in Brisbane. http://www.aviationstudycentre.com/pilot.htm
And is the price AUD$63300 for 46 weeks considered expensive?

Scholarship
As far as I know, all fees are very expensive, from where can I get scholarship or sponsors? I'm from Malaysia anyway.

Thanks.
IrfanH , 02 Oct, 2011
Most Importantly..
The price at Basair's is cheaper than that of the Airline Academy of Australia. It goes $44,000 for 42 weeks. I'm not sure which is better, but the price seems not so expensive.
But have this question that is popping into my head since I've decided to become a commercial pilot. **Does having a 370 hours theory study and about 160 hours flight training experience enough to join an airline and just fly an airplane, or there must be more flying hours to cover before that huge step?? If not, how many more flying hours of experience i must cover to fly a normal plane? and how long will it take?
Any clue can be helpful...

THANKS A LOT CAPTAIN

HI CAPTAIN smilies/smiley.gif

I'm planning to become a successful Pilot, but i have many questions. I've been to many websites and tried to search for more information about the steps, fees, courses, etc...

Could this be so easy? I mean, is having 370 hours theory study and about 160 hours flight training experience, like I read, enough to join an airline and just fly an airplane, or there must be more flying hours to cover before reaching this huge step?? If not, how many more flying hours of experience i must cover to fly a normal plane?

Any clue can be useful.

THANKS A LOT CAPTAIN

Flight Training/Flight Schools
Has anyone heard of attended the 'National Aviation Academy' in Florida? They have a 19 month program at which , I'm not sure about how expensive it'll be but their website says after completion of their program which I think includes some instructing, a student can get anywhere from 340 plus to about 500 flight hours.
Can anyone give any advice or input on this school?
