Emirates Aviation College in Dubai has just launched a pilot training program (17 months) to start in 1/3/2012.
The theory part (7 months) will be done in Dubai by Jeppesen, USA and the practical training (10 months) will be done in Gestair Flying Academy, Portugal.
Upon completion, trainee will be awarded a JAA CPL with IR (instrument rating), SE (single engine) and ME (multiengine) Frozen JAA ATPL (theory) ICAO language proficiency certificate plus total flying hours of 160 hrs.
The cost is about RM 500k, all inclusive of tickets, food/accommodation/etc.
Is this worth it, compared with the Malaysia Flying Academy cost of half the price?
Thanks.
BS Tay
Hi Tay,
It is not worth it if you intend to fly in Malaysia as the cost is half that of the Emirate Aviation College fees. Besides, you still need to convert the JAA license to a Malaysian ATPL.
I would recommend you to do your frozen ATPL in Malaysia. There are a number of Malaysian Flying Schools listed in my site here
