Korean Airlines Boeing 777 Photo

The Boeing 777 is the first airplane to be completely designed by computers. So its shape is aerodynamically sound and pleasing to the sight. Yes, beauty is in the eyes of the beholders! Some asked, why aren’t there any winglets fitted on the wings? Well, they don’t need them. It looks great and still fly very economically. There are many good photos of the Boeing 777 taken by various plane spotters from around the world. They are mostly copyrighted. If you wish to use their images, kindly email them for permission.

In its interior configurations, the seating ranges from six to 10 abreast with two aisles. Its length is 209 feet 1 inch (63.7 m) and it has a wingspan of 199 feet 11 inches (60.9 m) with as tail height of 60 feet 9 inches (18.5 m).

The Boeing 777-200 has about 132,500 engineered and unique parts, including rivets, bolts and other fasteners. All in all, the airplane has more than 3 million parts. The first revenue service flight was in June 7, 1995.

The engine choices are Pratt & Whitney 4074, General Electric 90-75B or the Rolls-Royce Trent 875.

To cater for long-range flights, the Boeing 777-200 increased gross weight (IGW) model was designed with a maximum takeoff weight of 580,000 pounds (263,090 kg) to 632,500 pounds (286,900 kg).
